There are numerous seafood restaurants in both Cha-am and Hua Hin, in addition to several food stalls at the Hua Hin Night Bazaar. But if you like to eat on a higher level of service and quality, you can find world class restaurants of any kind of food in the big hotels and the best of all: the prices are very reasonable and compared with what you get, in my opinion the better deal than the overpriced beach restaurants. So find here some advised restaurants, which I visit regularly.
Hua Hin is situated on the Gulf of Thailand, 120 miles to the south of Bangkok and has long been a popular destination for holidaymakers from Thailand, itself, as well as those from abroad. Indeed, Hua Hin has a strong royal connection, having first been used by King Rama VII, in the Twenties, as a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Hua Hin, today, is still a working fishing port, but includes all the amenities that you would expect in a modern holiday resort. The good news for golfers is that, despite containing the highest density of championship golf courses in Thailand – there are, in fact, eight within 30 minutes' drive of Hua Hin town, itself – the Hua Hin region remains largely undiscovered as a golfing destination. Green fees between ฿1,200 and ฿2,500 bear testament to this fact, but facilities, maintenance, etc., are, nonetheless, of the highest order.
Hua Hin Golf Courses & Accommodation
Just 25 minutes for Hua Hin town, the Imperial Lake View Hotel & Golf Club represents something of a novel concept, insofar as it effectively combines four different 9-hole courses, each with its own distinct characteristics, in a single facility. Players can choose the undulating landscape of the "Mountain" course, which affords spectacular views over surrounding mountains, the refreshing, yet challenging, "Lakes" course, the arid "Desert" course, complete with cacti and rocks, or the windy "Links" course, to test their mettle. Facilities also include a driving range, practice area, a swimming pool with Jacuzzi and tennis and squash courts.
Also just 25 minutes from Hua Hin town, but this time directly inland, Majestic Creek Golf Club offers a 6,961-yard, 18-hole course, situated against the backdrop of the foothills of the mountains that form the western border between Thailand and Myanmar. Water is very much a feature, with numerous streams running across the course, so even low handicap golfers are presented with quite a challenge. Facilities, once again, include a driving range, chipping and putting greens and electric golf carts are available for hire.
Accommodation in and around, Hua Hin is plentiful and varied, with visitors offered a choice of guest houses, hotels and self-catering accommodation. Many guest houses and hotels are contemporary in style, with traditional Thai touches, so you can expect air conditioning, TV, free Internet access and free use of a swimming pool in many cases. Self-catering villas are constructed and furnished to a similarly high standard and typically offer spacious, comfortable guest rooms, again with all modern amenities.
If you are flexible with regard to travelling, you may be able to take advantage of one of many late deals available to Hua Hin. At the time of writing, for example, one well-known operator is offering 7 nights` accommodation, on a bed and breakfast basis, in a five-star hotel just 15 minutes away from Hua Hin Airport, plus return flights from London Heathrow, for less than £700 per person.

Hua Hin Beach
Hua Hin Beach is a sandy beach between the fishing pier and Khau Takiab (approx. 5km long). The first part from the pier to the Hilton Hotel is a problem since many years, as there are several illegal sea food restaurants, which make it impossible to walk on this part. The second (larger) part has restaurants with armchairs (not cheap!), horses for rent and is good for walking. Map Hua Hin Beach with recommended beach hotels
Khao Takiab
Khao Takiab (Chop stick hill) is the hill on the south end of the Hua Hin Beach with a temple (Wat Khao Takiab) worth to visit on top. To visit the temple step up the (very) long stairs and be aware of the many monkeys, they can be very aggressive and I did see bites from them; it's something you really don't need in your hollidays.
South of Khao Takiab is the long and very nice beach Suan Son. For me the best beach in Hua Hin!

Cha-Am
Once a low-key fishing and market village, Cha-am has grown in popularity, particularly with local Thais who yearn for a weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Cha-am is mainly know for its fresh seafood, and eating and drinking in a relaxing seaside environment is the main draw for the locals. The local fare can be enjoyed at both open-air eateries with umbrella-shaded tables out on the beach, and more traditional restaurants near the north end of the beach or cantilevered out over the water on stilts at the edge of the harbor. The beaches are quite nice; though not picture postcard-perfect tropical paradises per se, they are not crowded and fairly clean, with warm gentle waters perfect for swimming. There are a variety of wandering vendors selling silk and cotton fabric, scarves and hand-carved wooden statues, in addition to horses for hire. Hotels Cha-Am - Last Minute Hotels Cha-Am - Map Cha-Am

Ban Krood
Ban Krut's natural beauty and its uninterrupted coastline are a rarity these days; enjoy while they last Ban Krut, the last virgin beach strip in Prachuab Khiri Khan, it seems has been spared a life line after the government shelved its controversial plan to build a coal-fired power plant there. For the time being, Ban Krut's sandy beaches still stretch as far as you can see. There are no high-rises to obstruct view except the lanky stems of coconut trees rising to meet the skyline - which is how Thailand's other beaches used to be until they were undone by change spawned by tourist dollars and began growing in all manners and directions to become the mess they are today. A case in point is Ko Chang off the Trat mainland. Hotels Bankrut, Bangsapan & Ko Talu (Talu Island)
