Events Hua Hin, Cha-Am, Pranburi Hua Hin Jazz Festival
For one weekend in June, which is usually around the 12th, the seaside resort is hosting its annual jazz festival. Performances take place on open-air stages by the beach (Map Hua Hin Beach) and in Phonkingphet public park (see Map Hua Hin Center) allowing any visitors to make the most of the beautiful natural surroundings as well as soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying some jazz music. Every year, the festival attracts thousands of people who flock to see the shows from Thai musicians and international jazz artists. The Shell Eating, Bird Watching and Squid Catching Festival is an annual festival of Phetchaburi's Cha-am district. It takes place around August-September, when squid swim near the shoreline. Also during this period, various kinds of birds migrate from the northern parts of Asia to Cha-am.
