One of Thailand's oldest

King Rama

The course is set in a valley, just next to the "Black Mountains", which are so named because of the large black rocks set into the mountains, providing a spectacular backdrop to many of the holes. This Thai Army course was opened in September 2010. The fairways are in excellent condition and beautifully situated directly by the sea. This brings the first tropical links golf course to Hua Hin. The sea breeze comes in play on the last 3 holes and this three final holes are expected to be the best what Hua Hin golf has to offer. Although rolling fairways and spectacular mounds surround the greens - many of which are hidden by the trees - make some shots rather tricky, golfers are helped out by well defined fairways to get back on the right track. Particularly absorbing is the par three 14th where the player tees off from one small island with the intent of landing their ball on another small island 207 yards away. Hotels near Imperial Lake View Golf Club  Palm Hills Golf Course & Country Club, Cha-Am / Hua Hin Set against a beautiful backdrop of Petchaburi's mountain range and some amazing views of the Gulf of Thailand, the Max Wexler designed 18 holes, par 72 Palm Hills Golf Course is approximately two and a half-hours drive from Bangkok on the way to Hua Hin via route 4 from Cha-am. Separated by a rocky outcrop that extends from the mountain range, the course runs from east to west with lakes at each end and incorporates fast, nice decorated greens with some tricky borrows. The clubhouse fits well with surroundings. It, too is stunningly beautiful and the restaurant serves good Thai food with a nice view on the 18th hole. There is a pro shop, a driving range and a putting green. Palm Hills Country Club offers additionally a sports club, where you can swimm (30 meters pool), sweat in the fitness room, play badminton, tennis, squash, table tennis and snooker. Built in 1922 this is the oldest +proper' golf course in the Kingdom. Historic very natural golf running back into wooded hills offering sensational views. 18 holes 6654 yards. Par 72. Hotels near Majestic Creek Country Club The Eagle Millford Golf Club Hua Hin Designer Robert McFarland has used one of the most interesting sites in Thailand to good effect. The course is surrounded on three sides by forested hills. From the clubhouse, panoramic sea views give the course a 'links' atmosphere. The next thing is the course length - 7,331 yards off the back tees. Because of its location, the course is rarely busy. This 18-hole, par-72 course (6,726 yds) has been brought forward as a sensible budget alternative for mainly two reasons: its green fee is low compared to other courses (green fee 400 THB in 2009), and its location is not far from some lovely beach areas. The golf course offers good service and its staff is very helpful. Thanarat has received some criticism due to somewhat sluggish greens as well as insufficient course maintenance (no watering).
